I don't have any credit cards. Haven't for almost 20 years. I Googled one of these #s that keeps calling me & found out (as I suspected) that this is a scam. I'm seeing how far this call will go. They won't stop calling.
You can choose "#2" at the beginning of the call to be removed from their list but it doesn't work. I'll guess that I've received over 50 calls (maybe more) from this same group "Card Member Services" over the past 3 or 4 months.
When I Googled one of the #s, I read that as SOON as they suspect you're on to their scam, they hang up. As happens in this call...
GIVE THEM NONE OF YOUR CREDIT CARD OR PERSONAL INFO!!!
Email the link to this video to your friends and family and make them aware of this scam.
Tell your friends and family, that may not have internet access, about this.
If I had to guess, I'd guess that these jerks are preying on older people that aren't aware that it is a scam.
Let the people in your life know about this.
People that are ON the "Do not call" list are STILL getting calls (I'm one of them).
NEVER GIVE PERSONAL INFO OF ANY KIND OVER THE PHONE OR VIA EMAIL.
Here's a partial list of #s that I've received these calls from. All of thes have also been reported by other people as coming from a company engaging in a credit card scam (Google them). I've received calls from all of these numbers and more - these are the only #s I still had in my Caller ID:
800-421-0000 (this call) Shows up on Caller ID as "Toll Free"
720-409-2532 "Cellular Phone"
303-249-9700 "Denver, Co"
612-222-7091 "Unknown name"
313-204-1037 "Wireless Caller"
If you're receiving calls from this phony company and would like to report them, go here: https://www.DoNotCall.gov/
Then, click on "File a complaint" to do so.
If you don't report them, they'll keep calling you...
